Mission
Founded in 1991 by Dr. Stuart and Velvet Quartemont, Medical Missions International is a 501(c)(3) non-profit committed to demonstrating the love and salvation of Jesus Christ. This vision is manifest through the missionary outreach of Christian doctors, dentists, nurses, health care personnel, and ministers of the Gospel.
At its core, MMI coordinates professional medical services and supplies to meet the needs of the people in the Brazos Valley and throughout the world. The principle physical need is quality medical care and education to prevent disease. The principle spiritual need is to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal savior.
Local Clinics
Together with SOS Ministries, MMI is recognized as an official chapter of Somebody Cares America, united by our like-hearted mission to mobilize volunteers for faith-based humanitarian aid.
In connection with these efforts, MMI administers a free medical clinic every month in Bryan, Texas, offering professional medical care to uninsured patients who otherwise lack the access and opportunity to receive treatment.
Integrity
Many nonprofits allocate 20-35% (or more) of donations to administrative and fundraising expenses, meaning a meaningful portion never directly reaches the people or causes they aim to serve.
MMI was built with a different conviction.
From leadership to licensed medical professionals, MMI is supported by generous voluntary contribution, united by a shared commitment to compassionate care.
There are:
No salaried positions
No paid fundraising teams
No pressure-driven capital campaigns
The only compensated role within MMI is a part-time bookkeeper, ensuring financial accuracy and accountability.
As a result, approximately 95% of every dollar donated goes directly toward the mission: delivering care, resources, and impact where it matters most.
Our belief is that generosity should be honored with stewardship, transparency, and a relentless focus on impact.
Impact
MMI is a ministry that brings the message of love, joy and peace to the poor, sick, and dying in this world.
Over the course of time, Medical Missions International has:
Donated nearly $1,000,000 worth of medical supplies
Volunteered over 10,000 hours of professional medical care
Seen and diagnosed over 15,000 patients
Performed over 5,000 surgeries
Reached more than 100,000 people with the Gospel
….. And counting!
We are humble and grateful for all the ways Christ has used MMI to serve as His hands and feet. May God use this ministry to win the lost to Christ and bring Believers to a deeper walk in Him into the fullness of their destiny. Amen!
Thank you for being a partner.
